Mame Mélanie - Senegal |
Mame Melanie is a French non-profit association governed by the Act of 1901 which has the exclusive mission of providing financial and material assistance to the Fatik school, located near Dakar, in Senegal. Through its support, the school has been renovated, including the installation of a solar oven and a children’s playground.

In 2011, the association wants to provide nutritional monitoring for the school’s 260 children. For this purpose, a room will be equipped and set up to allow a volunteer doctor from the association to provide consultations and identify children who suffer from malnutrition.
The association will take charge of making and distributing a nutritious and balanced snack for each of these young children, aged 2 to 5 years. Through a local partnership, the snacks will be prepared by volunteers at a training center for girls in the region.
The Foundation provides €6,000 in support.
