2023
Founded over 15 years ago at the initiative of the European Homes Group, the French association ABC Domino works in Madagascar to improve the living conditions of the Madagascan population and facilitate their access to education. Based in the bush in the Grand Sud region, the association has built and manages six primary schools, two middle schools and one secondary school. Thanks to its work, around 3,700 pupils are now in school, taught by a team of 110 Madagascan teachers.
The association’s aim is to provide young Madagascans with a quality education in suitable, safe premises, so that they can attend school from primary school right through to baccalaureate.
The Bel Foundation has supported ABC Domino three times previously, initially to build a primary school canteen (2019), then to help create an initial nursery and an orchard next to the secondary school set up by the association to promote food diversification in the association’s various canteens (2020). In 2021, the Foundation’s support made it possible to finance another nursery and orchard to supply two other primary schools.
The Bel Foundation’s support in 2023 will provide the means to teach market gardening practices at the primary school to improve and diversify the meals served in the canteen.
The expected results of this project are:
A total of 365 pupils will have access to a variety of meals in the canteen.
