2023
Entrepreneurs du Monde is a French NGO that supports the social and economic integration of people in very precarious situations in Asia, Africa, Haiti and France.
The association’s main aims are to give the most disadvantaged sections of the population access to basic goods and services and to encourage them to become self-sufficient.
To achieve this, the association is focusing on four development levers: social microfinance, employment integration through entrepreneurship, access to energy and agro-entrepreneurship. The association is focusing on agriculture, which is a major challenge in the context of climate change and with a view to empowerment. The association’s teams are therefore working to build storage buildings and nurseries, as well as train local people in sustainable farming techniques.
Since it was founded, the association has helped more than 180,900 direct beneficiaries and 904,500 indirect beneficiaries, and has distributed over 28,800 lighting/cooking stove kits.
The Bel Foundation’s support in 2023 will enable the association to help combat malnutrition among children and their families in Togo by focusing on agro-ecological training for producers, with the aim of developing more nutritious crops and supplying school canteens.
What are the project’s expected results?
A total of 2,000 pupils aged 6 to 12 will have access to better nutrition.
