2023

Village Pilote is an NGO founded in 1993 with the mission of helping vulnerable populations, more specifically in the child protection sector in Senegal. To this end, the NGO implements citizenship education, international solidarity and “living together” initiatives. The main objective is to ensure the sustainable reintegration (family, social, educational and professional) of vulnerable children who are the direct victims of human trafficking.

In 2008, Village Pilote launched a project to set up a reception centre for over 500 young people aged 5 to 25, to provide them with schooling and training until they become independent.

The Bel Foundation’s support in 2023 will enable the association to make the site self-sufficient from a food and nutrition perspective, in order to improve the diet of young people and make the reception centre more attractive.

The expected results are:

A total of 400 children aged 5 to 18 attending the Village Pilote reception centre will have access to improved nutrition and schooling.
