Food Drives

2022

Founded by Coluche, a french public figure, in 1985, Les Restos du Cœur aims to help and provide voluntary assistance to the underprivileged, particularly in the area of food, through access to free meals, and by participating in their social and economic integration.

In 2022, as in 2018 and 2019, the Bel Foundation organised a collection of non-perishable foodstuffs at Bel’s head office in Suresnes, targeting the under-18 age group in aid of the Restos du Cœur des Hauts de Seine. Over 160kg of foodstuffs were collected thanks to the generosity of Bel Group employees !

The Foundation matched these food drive to help finance a truck to collect unsold food in the Hauts de Seine area.

2021

For 36 years, the Food Banks have been taking action against poverty and food insecurity. The Food Banks are the leading food aid network in France. It is made up of 79 Food Banks and 31 branches.

Every year, the national Food Banks collection enables almost 11,500 tonnes of foodstuffs to be collected, the equivalent of 23 million meals. This is an essential action for the Food Banks, and the Foundation wanted to join in by offering Bel Group employees the chance to take part.

In 2021, with the help of the Red-Cross and Monoprix store in Suresnes, Bel employees collected food donations. These donations were then redistributed to people in need in Suresnes.

The food banks are also supported by the Bel Group and its employees through MicroDon: a platform that enables employees to make a donation to an association by adding a few cents to their salary.

2019

In 2019, the Bel Foundation has once again made a commitment alongside the Restos du Cœur des Hauts de Seine, offering a new food drive at Bel Group headquarters.

A total of 160kg of products were collected and donated to the Restos du cœur branch in the Hauts de Seine department (92). The Foundation also contributed to this collection to help finance a truck to collect unsold food in the Hauts-de-Seine area.

2018

For the first time, the Bel Foundation organised a food drive at the Bel Group’s head office in Suresnes for the Restos du Cœur des Hauts de Seine. For one week, Bel employees were able to donate food products destined for the Rueil Malmaison distribution centre. In total, 160kg were collected during this initiative, thanks to the efforts of our employees!
